Jan 16th – We headed to our favorite open water winter time hole. We were in pursuit of smallies and we found them. I have never gone there and tried to catch number and I just wanted to catch as many fish as I could. Well between me and Idso we ended the day losing count at 70 bass but probably caught a few more than that. The biggest one was right around 3lbs. It took us until the last hour of the day to figure them out until that point we only had about 20 fish on the board and then in the last hour we stroked them. It was a blast and much needed during this Minnesota winter.
